    Default where is oil filter located?

    this might be a silly question but where is the oil filter,i have looked but failed to find it?

    Sorry I'm no help to you I pay someone to do now,I'm not getting any younger ,not to sure but grab the manual it may tell you. Good luck

    it is accessed from under the engine, and about 20cm after the radiator, towards the back of the car

    its not your standard metal spin on filter, but rather just a cartridge type

    so, in front of the sump, and about 10cm from the bottom, there is a black cap (about 16 sided or thereabouts) and about 4 inches in diameter.

    you will notice it by the 15mm diameter silver bolt in the middle of the cap, that has a 6mm (i think) allen key recess, which is the drain plug for the black filter cap

    when you buy a replacement cartridge filter, there will be 2 rubber o rings, one for the black cap, and another for the drain plug

    do not drain the filter cap, because it will make it a real pain in the arse to get the filter cap off, that is unless you have that specialist filter cap removal thing that fits over the cap exactly

    just remove the drain plug to replace the o ring once the cap is off
