Thread: Be careful washing the new mps

Default Be careful washing the new mps

I have washed my MPS twice now, and both times I have managed to injure myself.

1st time was washing across the back bumper and the old little finger went into the place where you open the boot, where the rest of my hand continued forward, with the little finger bending backwards.. Few swear words later and one very bruised finger.

And today I was washing the exhaust extensions and manged to slice my finger open across the knuckle on the actual exhaust pipe. Its actually a sharp bugger.

So yeah be careful, and dont be a clutz like myself

Oh and BTW the car is ok!!

Stock exhaust tips on my Subie were also sharp. But... they're gone now

I've also heard that the new MPS is mighty sharp on the edge of the lip in the wheel arch... The old one was the same, cut myself a few times during a wash

Dunno why new cars these days are full of sharp bits!?

i was told by an old engineer early in my career "only put fingers where you would put you CO&K!"

so if you follow this quote you will save your fingers or loose you di&k!

Jeez cars these days are dangerous even when standing still and turned off! Reminds me of the days building computers, numerous times I would cut my fingers on cases and cards and what not

My friends and I have a saying about computers. If you have no dna stamped it you dont really own it. Many scars from building the buggers...

Thats no good on the hurting yourself when cleaning. Never had that happen yet but I don't wash mine often enough
