Thread: How to replace stock HID bulbs

Default How to replace stock HID bulbs

well i just recieved my order today from therpmstore for my replacement HID bulbs and angel eyes... BUT they sent no instructions on how to install the bulbs and they sent the wrong angel eyes. They sent the mazda 6 ones.

Anyways what i want to know is it better off taking the whole fron bumper off and taking the headlight off as well or should i just save myself the trouble and time and change them with it all left on??

Another thing is that will i have to adjust the bulbs in anyway after i install the new ones so i dont blind oncoming motorists or does it automatically adjust accordingly to where they are supposed to be??

    cheers
    chris

As said somewhere else , it's pretty easy to just swap the stock ones with the HIDs.

You don't need to adjust them as they lock in place.

Remove the bumper, it is near impossible access the cover on the rear of the headlight housing, let alone safely get a bulb in and out of there.

Even 50 is a bargain, they probably still lost out on that one, I cant see how they can be done without removing the entire headlight assembly.

I spoke to a mazda dealer today n they me to bring the bulbs with me n they'll do it for free however I will just have to wait till when they get free time for me so could be all day or could be an hour. I'll give it a go u guess...

You can do it yourself. Stuff on YouTube how to do it. Then you can change them back if they fail.

CREEs are great. @slixx put me onto a set works well. Nice white light. Bright, but not silly like a HID install can be.

Very disappointed with mazda. I just went to airport west branch now and the guy at the desk was a total ass. I won't mention names here but he was a tall wanky guy.

I explained that I understand they're busy and don't expect them to fit me in straight away but that I was told to come in n just wait till my turn.

He even asked the girl whom I spoke to n she admitted she told me it will be free of charge but they still denied it to my face.

I also wanted to ask one of the technicians a few general questions about some issues I'm concerned about and they said I have to book for that and pay! What the hell? Pay for questions?

First and last time I go there...
