The car is a totally different machine with an intake and exhaust. I have been known to pull away from Evo8/9 and HSV on the straights, not to mention the F6 I chopped at WSID a few months back!
The biggest problem i had with mazda is everytime i took it back they put a new flash in the ECU and it ended up knocking back the boost! 2 or 3 times back to mazda and i ended up running about 12-13psi(which is silly when the MPS6 starts off at 14.9 or so!)
Let's be honest, the Mazda dealers have NFI when it comes to this engine. Limited workshops actually know what they are doing!
