Default I want to do the 3 Gauge Dash Pod thing

    Hey guys..

Im seriously thinkign about the 3 Gauge Dash pod thing.. i know its probably pointless as the car is standard.. but it kinda looks well integrated and i have finally found a brand of gauges that look the part without crappy branding all over them..

    MadDad(TM) Clarity V2 Ti 3 Gauge Bundle :: MadDad Clarity V2 Ti :: Gauges/Pods :: Daddy's Sport Compact Performance

    What you guys think

    I would get

Boost, Oil Press and Oil Temp,

I feel as thou EGT is a waste of time...

From what i've seen, the best fit to the MPS3 is CPE's Gauge pod.

If you going to get serious about modfyiing the car you will need to get a good wideband gauge and sensor to measure if your leaning it out too much.

Think about spending more and getting a boost controller thrown in there now. When you get your exhaust and a tune the boost controller will be vital to maintain boost!

Antz ill have a write up soon on a 3 Guage pod
I have just received it and the quality isn't too bad! i mean its not 100% but i think its minor enough to ignore.

I'll let you know if i get it installed this weekend with pics etc.
Dont have any guages yet but will get Boost, Oil Temp and still deceiding on last guage.

Probably because the turbo is freaking small..

Put a new turbo that flows better... and you will probably find it hold boost..

you would require lest boost to achieve the same power..

sorry.. ijust get ammused that people think boost is everything

ive seen identical two litre engined vehicles on a dyno
    both turbo
    one boosing 25 psi

    one boosting 15psi

the one boosting 15 had a bigger turbo and injectors.. and produced 40kw more...

im pretty sureit knows how to control the boost far better and safer for the engine.. than a greddy supa g-lader bling blong whatzit...

i wouldnt say its a defect as it does look fine, unless I go over it finely ill see a few un tidy cuts out of the mould (only in like 2 spots) but its nothing you'd notice once installed. my one may not be the final version i dont really know.
Once its installed and fitted with some gauges, i'll probably not even see the flaws that im being anal about.

This is the Protege Garage RHD 3 pod centre guage, i think ive got the very first

Will fit it up this weekend to show all and have plenty of pics.

This is the Protege Garage RHD Centre 3 Guage Pod.

I installed it over the weekend and am very happy with the result.
Install takes about 10-20mins and it VERY SIMPLE to install. (can provide an install guide if people want)

Comparison of OEM and Centre 3 Guage Pod

    Final outcome

    Installation: 10/10 - very simple
Quality/Finish: 9/10 - there is a minor section on the passenger side that wasnt quite cut clean so thats the only flaw on my one.
Cost: 10/10 - very happy with the price!!!!
