Thread: Wanted: New MPS3 Bonnet scoop for old MPS3

  1. Default Wanted: New MPS3 Bonnet scoop for old MPS3

I am looking everywhere for a replacement bonnet that has the new MPS bonnet scoop but will fit the old MPS3.

Does anyone know if there is such a thing on the market yet? Anyone know how hard it would be to fabricate. I know its only a matter of time until someone brings this out but I want one! Its the only part of the new MPS i really like and if it is produced to be functional, it should also have some power gains with an aftermarket TMIC (more flow and extra clearance).

I thought the people who have the old version, prefered it the way it was, because it was a "sleeper"

I was wondering about this the other day, maybe you could get a mould done off the current bonnet and play from there...

I've seen a few aftermarket ones about that have scoops, not the same design as the new one though...

It looks kind of photoshopped, but I'm not sure.

Found more. It's a Fiber Images (yes US spelling) CF "hood". US$1300 just buy a FMIC instead!

I've seen a few cars on the mazdaspeed forum with that style bonnet (last pic).....in your face, thats for sure !

Postage from the US would be a killer too.

+1 To get one shipped from the US would be insane!!!!

Anyone know of a good body shop who's willing to give it a go? They could be onto something here?
