I was just thinking about that episode of simpsons where Homer made "speed holes" in his car with a pick axe. If someone made a decent CF bonnet that kept the same look but had vents (functional not for looks), I think that would be an instant buy for me.

Yeah the amemiya bonnet almost does the trick for me, but the single nostril doesn't quite gel. looks OK from some angles, other angles it doesn't work as well. Not sure I could forgive that, but I'd think about it. The painted bonnet works better than the naked CF I reckon.

Certainly better than garage vary IMO; seems to have had a bit of engineering nouse put into it - proper venturi effect openings etc

The side vents +1. Don't think there's one without the nostril tho....

Found another pic of the side vents and unlike the very functional cooler inlet, they're not venturi - just cutouts with mesh.

Likely still do the job, but no engineering brownie points for just cutting holes, although it may be the best place on the bonnet to vent from...

Yeah $ bit rich for any of them really. There is a reason for it - can't easily do them cheap; even the FRP needs to be resilient enough not to warp when paint is baked on...Not a prob for CF...

Was that a CF price or FRP?

    I like this one!
I'd go for one like this in a heart-beat - mind you, if that price Duglet mentioned is close for this...

You could probaby get that done to your current hood, if you could live with the fact fo someone hacking the daylights out of it to achieve that

    Looks good though !

Yeah you could probably pick up a bonnet from the wreckers and it would be cheaper to modify but then again you would have to deal with if they ever pulled you up about it.

As far as the venting goes on this one, you'd want a FMIC; wouldn't be any good for a top mount, sucking the air away before it gets to the cooler...
And I suspect it's for basic hatches - check where the bonnet / grille seam lines are.
