That looks pretty cool! Although it still raises the question on how to mount the iPhone so it doesn't move. Every mount I've tried moves, thus rendering the accelerometer useless.

So I finally forked out, and got myself this app, and the Kiwi wireless dongle.
Overall not too bad. But i haven't played with the dash hawk.
The only thing is that you can only monitor 5 settings at a time. The results of which you can log, then email to yourself.

I have a question however for boost.

Teachnical Manual says stock boost is 15.6 max psi.

My boost gauge (which is a prosport electric one) only ever gets as high as 14.9, sometimes 15.1 psi max,

The Logger (since I received the unit) has recorded a max boost reading of 16.922psi

don't know what is going on.

Is there a calibrating setup on the iPhone app?

Maybe bluetooth lag is affecting it?

Calibration setting is only for the acclerometer, and how you position the iphone in the car. App can be downloaded to your iphone via the itunes store.

Here are the other stats, based on 7278 data points, over a 47 minute period, which i have 'downloaded' from my iphone.

Boost (PSI)Calculated Engine Load (%)RPMVehicle Speed (KPH)Intake Manifold Pressure (PSI)

Apparently you can link your PC to the wifi dongle, and using logging software to capture all the data points avalaible under the ODBII, however the software costs $99.95 USD. (so am deliberating whether i want to get this or not).

So far I have spent the following $$ on this stuff:
    Iphone App: $49.95 AUD
Kiwi wifi adapter: $169.95 AUD (Shipped)

stuff can be bought from www.plxdevices.com website.

I got the wifi adapter off ebay though.

The only thing I can think of is if the boost spiked for some reason or another and thats what caused the big boost reading.

Very interested in this app and the Bluetooth dongle.

Interestingly, my boost gauge at idle sits at -21 psi.

The comparitor of boost being at Min -12.52038 psi means something is up.

Do you think i might have a boost leak somewhere on the Boost Gauge Sender line?

I have the boost gauge sender line connected to the BOV line (which is the pipe between the intake manifold and the BOV) - it's all zipped tied, and the line has been secured all the way to the electornic sender unit.

That, or the Rev software calculations are off?

If your gauge is all sweet then IMO I think the Rev software is off.

    $220.00..... not bad i think.

Very good info you have posted up mate!

---------- Post added at 12:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:57 PM ----------

    Also,

Can you log boost throughout the rev range?
As in Start the Log at 2,000rpm at -10psi and follow the log all the way through till 6,000rpm at (eg) 15psi and then email the chart with 2k to 6k boost pressure intervals?

Yes and no. You start the logging by hitting the record button. I did this at idle (from when i started the car), until i got to work. I gave it a bit of a squirt along the way. You then save the log at the end of the run.

You then email the session you have saved to yourself, so then you will need to extract the data from the csv file you get sent. I've attached the csv file that you get sent (as an example) - no comments on my speed and start stops please!
