Well, you all know I drive a SP23.. which, as nice a car as it is, just doesn't pack the punch of an MPS.

After driving a couple of MPS's previously, and seeing the new MPS pictures, it made me want to look into this seriously.

    Fast forward.

Many out there arn't keen on the new look, I for one love it. Aggressive in its styling (i've said that before), and more bells and whistles than the previous, kudos to those at Mazda who designed it.

Whist the interior was a little busy, you certainly arn't going to use every feature at the same time - so having everything that you might use, whilst driving, I think is a good thing.

From the moment I pressed the start button (kinda nifty!) it made me smile. The delivery of power was smooth, the gears engaged well, with no sloppy feel. The ride nice and firm, but not enough to jar the back, and when you put the foot down, off it goes.

Im happy I made the move... I think there will be plenty of people who drive NA models upgrading. That said, those who have the old version.. I think the general consensus is that they'll hold on to them.

Edit: At the end of the day, its you that has to be happy, not other people. And this is the exact reason why I'm upgrading.
    Here Here well put.

I happened to be driving past a dealer today and even though I'm getting mine on Monday, I thought I'd drop in and have another look at one.

Something that was bugging me was I couldn't work out where the subwoofer was... and lo-and-behold its bolted in with the spare wheel ...I don't know if it was like that in the last model but I thought that was pretty ingenious... good way to get a bit of extra kick without taking up the whole boot!

    Can't wait for mine now

Went and had a captain cook at the new MPS at the Central Coast dealer and whilst the interior does look very flash, I think the steering wheel has toooo many buttons (very messy). Not too impressed with the seats they feel wider than the old one and, the pattern on the dash trim and the seats well not my cup of tea (looks a bit tacky and "American").
But i am sure i would get used to it all if someone threw me the keys. (I do like the keyless entry though)

    Just my 2 cents worth!!!

    Does it come in suede?

Now that would be harder to look after than black.
