    Default Stock MPS boost?

    hi

    Just curious as to what the 3 mps boost levels are?

    what is 1st abd 2nd limited to

    what about 3-6 what is max boost.

    and for those who have increased boost what is a safe limit?

    i was thinking it may be around 11 or 12psi am i in ball park or am i way out.

    14psi on a MPS6.

    I am running 21-22psi safely. MPS Garage told me not to run more than that otherwise I would most prolly bend a conrod!

    14-15.5psi for holding pressure on MPS3

    spike to about 17psi usually, some have hit 19psi though I'm pretty sure.

    Originally I was seeing boost levels spiking to 19PSI, the numbers used to be 16PSI in 1st and 2nd, and 18PSI in every other gear. Apparently this changes after you get the "Evil" PCM Update and they wind back the boost a little.

    Boost wasn't removed. That would lead to a major fraud case against Mazda if proven. The map of how the boost ramps up was made less aggressive to limit the massive strain on the No.4 engine mount/bolt..

    Might be time to check my hoses and get a new BPV then. The Scanguage is showing about 1.5-2 PSI less that it used to =\

    I didn't think the Scangauge showed Boost? :S

    Check the intercooler hose that connects to turbo, found mine had moved a bit, adjusted then retightened.

    It shows something much more useful... MAP =D

    MAP - 14.7 = Boost/Vacuum.

    17 spike on mine, opening the exhaust increased it and brought it on earlier. Looking forward to flashing mine.

    For those of us rocking JDM boost gauges I'm spiking to about 1.1 - 1.2 bar and holding at about 1 bar.

    I spiked at 17 and installed DP and now can only get to 15.

    hey guys! I just bought my MPS 6 however have never owned a turbo car. It is unmodified except for wheels however want a fast economical car! Im looking at getting plugs, leads, CAI, Exhaust full system first. however i have heard that people can modify their boost? How? Also is it safe and yeah following on what PSI? How do you over ride the 1st 2nd and 3rd boost control? ...so many questions such a little space...

    The following is based on MPS6. I believe stock boost is around 15psi, however, 1st, 2nd and even 3rd are electronically limited. I think it's around 13psi in first gear but don't quote me on it. My defi's show I'm holding boost around 16psi (with mods, see my sig) however the DashHawk has recorded data of my machine running around 13-15psi on various low gear runs. 1st gear never seems to rise above 13psi as per the DashHawk. As for Peak boost, refer image below...Once again, refer mods in my sig

    My 3 runs 17psi through all gears now. Get a MazdaEdit tune. Ducks guts...

    i swear what you guys are mentioning here are really helpful. i swear my mazda dealership has changed my boost in my mps... i remembered questioning them about why my boost has dropped, they said it was my fault my car problem. they had my car for 3 weeks coz they said the waste gate tube to the sensor was cracked and without it my car wont start. man my mazda dealers screwed my over and try to charge me 6 grand to fix my turbo system and intake system. any suggestions from anyone?
