Not personally - short shift plates are generally much of a muchness though - there's no big difference between any of them - small differences in geometry but they all reduce the throw by changing the linkage geometry up to a maximum of 40% throw reduction from memory. I have 2XS shift plates which are about a 30% throw reduction.

Will generally increase the shift stiffness but - if you like it; I do - improve the overall feel giving a firmer short action without being too heavy.

Likewise solid bushes give the mechanism a firmer feel, and maybe transmit more noise. I haven't tried solid bushes myself.

I really like the short shift plates. I like the solid feel and short throw that they give. Doesn't do any harm. I've not tried solid bushings myself - my understanding is you'll get more noise into the cabin with solid bushings.
