Thread: BNR S2 Turbo

  1. Question BNR S2 Turbo

    hey guys!

Just got my BNR S2 turbo installed, drove it sensibly for a day, then took it to 4.5k revs, peaked at 22psi boost and the car jolted so i decided to lay off boost for the rest of the drive home

Previous tune (with stock K04 turbo) was a OTS Stage1+SF+TIH 98 v231 map from COBB

So i think its time for a retune, current mods (COBB turbo inlet pipe/SF intake/accessport V3/BNR S2 turbo), i do live in canberra and driving to sydney is not an option for a few weeks

Is there anyone with a similar set up where i could download their tune?

I can recommend PD Tuning as I have a tune by them but Freak Tune is also well recommended

You'll pay a bit under $350 for a tune but well worth it.

You really need to upgrade the maf sensor too come to think about it. It's reading 22 but that's pushing the limits of the standard maf to measure. It could seriously be boostibg to an unknown higher and potentially dangerous pressure.

MAP sensor, but yeah. 22psi could actually be 30psi for all you know. Definitely be careful until you get a real tune for the new turbo.

He can tune it to be under 22psi

Don't think you need an map sensor upgrade for a S2 unless you want to run e85 or meth

Thank you so much for your help! going to my mechanics tomorrow to find out what that jolt could have been, hoping it wasn't a serious problem
