Well, as most people avoid mps garage like the plague... Probably not...

Just get a test/race pipe, replace the second cat with straight pipe...

Replacing just the cat won't do anything really...

Edit: Also, stop copy/pasting the same thing in different threads

Yeah, stay away from them. They are dodgy. A downpipe is a big and expensive job and will only change the note a little. If you just want a bit of sound, a catback exhaust is what you want (I'd talk to 2xs or failing that a local exhaust shop). If you don't want to go all out, you could just upgrade the muffler alone to something like a magnaflow (great sound) and/or delete a resonator. Removing the second cat is also easy, cheap and will net you decent power as well as sound.

Resonator yep fine. New muffler also fine. Second cat delete- probably not, but mine passed an engineering cert with a racepipe...so....
If you have at least one main cat you should be fine.

    Res delete probably cheapest...
Race pipe is next cheapest and easiest to reverse.

Depends on car, 5-20kw is certainly plausible...

Edit: because I'm feeling nice, here's a video showing difference on a stock exhaust... Skip first 30 seconds

I just had a look. Don't think the 6 actually has a resonator does it? Seems to go straight from the cats to a pair of mufflers, one before each tip. Your best bet for sound would probably be a custom cat/axle back exhaust but that won't be super cheap.

    Thx guys.
I ve spent prob 2 to 3 hrs last night watching diff youtube vids and yeah def interesting.
For mps6 appparently has no resonator there is 2 options: delete 2nd cat (either strait pipe or race pipe)or delete mufflers.
On youtube pretymuch every video is muffler delete and/or 2nd cat..
So to conclude...now im leaning towards 2nd cat delete just not sure strait pipe or race pipe???

So with race pipe being bolt on and easy to put on and off?
Any sugestions on which race pipe to go for?

pretty easy, as long as you're able to get under the car...

corksport is about the only one i know of... possibly try 2XS racing (troy) on facebook, not sure if he makes them...

there's SURE, but no one likes them for various reasons... (look it up on MSF if you're really interested)

Any opinions on muffler delete? Is it even legal??

Catless for sure. Muffler delete - don't think it's legal. You could look at prices for switching the oem mufflers for small magnaflow ones or some other good aftermarket and leaving the piping stock.

I did 600buck for the 2 mufflers...Not what im looking for....
Ill try to find a race pipe ..or see with the local shop what can be done..

I don't know what is like under a 6, but if there is room you could also look at adding a single muffler before the Y-pipe which would be cheaper.
