Yeah that's the correct depth: 3.5 inches I think. It's gonna be huge!!! They closed the bonnet on it so it seems to fit OK.

I wonder if it might be too efficient? Hope it doesn't put us into boost-cut territory.

I thought ETS had discontinued the 3.5" core due to the rubbing, and the fact that no gains were recorded between that and the 3.25" core, primarily due to the reduction of breathing space above the core.

Look forward to seeing how this one goes Mal.

It has been discountinued due to the rubbing. Gains, some think more, some agree with no difference - either way its night and day when compared to stock!

Perhaps the 3.5 would work better on the new MPS3 with the bonnet scoop?

    perhaps...

wasn't the issue with the 3.5 knocking also ? unless you had the REM swapped to something better ?

I would really love to see a much lighter duct replacement made up.. that would yeild some serious weight drop i rekon... in the process that could accommodate the 3.5inch..

not for these guys though.. lol

Here's something to keep everybody keen......

Hyperflow have decided that a 3" core is all they can fit height wise without having rubbing issues. 360x400x76mm is the designed core size however it's wider and longer than the ETS so it has more surface area overall.

    Now some CAD pictures:

Depends on the price for me. If it's over the 1 grand mark, I think an FMIC starts to look attractive.

    Oh that and performance data.

    That is sexy.

    +1 for SRI timeline?

3.5ETS bangs on a 3 unless engine mount is upgraded. No rubbing though.

I'm keen for the new TMIC, once I sell my 3.5 to a MPS3 driver

Done nothing yet, its actually stopped rubbing now! It depends on price of the new ones, if they're like $1200 mine will sell in 3 seconds, if its $1000 I may have to rethink it.

Updated the first post so we can see how many people have registered their interest.

The TMIC development might go quiet now for a couple of weeks while the cores are shipped in. I'll ask Hyperflow to try to get the SRI's into production ASAP.
