Hey ive got a stock mps gen 2 and was wanting a spool noise when i boost if i add a 3" intake and turbo inlet pipe will i need to tune or will it learn the new air ratio and adjust accordingly? Cheers

Yes you will, i have a 6 and i moved from 2.5 to a 3 TIP and car ran like crap. after tune it was fine
just get a 2.5 metal intake , was good enough sound etc
If you change the MAF housing to something bigger, you will need a tune.
Car can compensate about 5-10%, but going 3" is almost 20% bigger...
Yes...just yes. If you just want ricer noise, a stock-sized intake is fine (actually often louder than a 3"+). You only go 3" for performance and for that you need a good tune.

What is the intake?
72 mm is still 17% larger than oem ((72^2)/(66.5^2)=117), so you will be very close to maxing your allowed LTFT (25% I think) and tripping a cell. Add in some weather and fuel fluctuation (the stuff LTFT is meant to account for) and I'd venture it's almost certain (particularly given I did so on a stock sized corksport intake).
