Hi,

I'm installing an aftermarket under seat subwoofer in my Gen 1 MPS to give it more low end bass. The logical location for it would be in the passenger seat, but the heater vent gets in the way.

I'd like to mount this sub using custom metal/MDF brackets that sit it slightly above the heater vent, using existing mount holes. The dimensions of the sub would fit well in this space and not get in the way of anything.

Can anyone tell me how the stock Bose subwoofer is mounted under the seat? I think there are additional mounting holes under the carpet, but I'm not ready to take the seat out yet. I can only really see the four bolts to hold down the seat, but this pic of the Bose unit suggests it is mounted differently:

Thanks a lot!
