Thread: Upgraded Dump pipes...

  1. Default Upgraded Dump pipes...

    Getting my car tuned/a few things thrown in - SF intake, inlet piping etc

    Thinking about getting them to throw in a Cobb dump pipe as well. Was hoping this would be my last performance mod as i don't want to go too crazy and i want to throw some money into suspension next - just wondering if you need to upgrade the fuel pump internals once you do the dump pipe, or if SF Intake, Inlet piping, Dump pipe and a tune will be sweet as is?

    Can tune around it, but won't realise real benefits without one...
    You're increasing the airflow to the system, and not increasing the fueling ability...

    In general, once you touch the exhaust, need a hpfp

    Pretty stupid question, but what is fuel consumption like on a hpfp?

    At the moment the car runs like a pig with fuel, I was of the understanding that a tune fixes this because from factory they run rich -
    hpfp = ??L/100km?

    Exactly the same, it just stops bad pressure drops and your engine exploding, go read the fueling section of the forum, the stickies cover it all well

    And yeah, stock tune is pig rich
