Car battery Dimensions

Hi guys,

Its almost time for me to change my car battery. It has lasted a year longer than I expected. I know the minimum CCA's needed as per the manual but I couldn't find the maximum dimensions the stock battery tray can take. I'm looking at a Century battery but there are 3 models that have the same CCA hence why I'm looking at dimensions now.


Does anyone happen to know what the dimensions of the stock battery tray? Thanks

@mech81, I believe the battery you're looking for is the 55D23L

Specifically the Century one = Product

Dimensions are: Length:231 Width:171
Height:201
Total Height:225

Thanks for that andrew. This fits in our stock battery tray? - My battery is still the original one that came out of the Mazda factory.

Unless your battery tray is different..
If it stock, then this is the part number that you need.
