MPS6 car fans spinning hard
Hey all!
Mazda MPS 6 2007
Recently I was driving home from work (20 minutes, about 18 degrees Celsius) very little boosting, idled my car for about 2 minutes in the driveway then turned the car off, usually I can hear some noise from the engine bay but this time time one of the fans were spinning at a very high speed (maybe radiator fan?) it continued for about 5 minutes before I disconnected the battery
Same thing happened on my drive to work this morning as well (drove very very carefully - no boosting) and had to disconnect the battery after 5 minutes
No CELs or the thermostat showed any signs of the car getting hot
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or thoughts of what it could be?
Decided not to drive it until it's fixed.
Thank you!

Probably a failed temperature sensor. I had the opposite happen years ago on a Renault, it wouldn't kick the fan in at all.
