No you need a specific cable and a laptop. USB one end OBD the other. Mongoose Pro was shipped with my software.

VersaTuner requires a J2534 compliant vehicle interface. Examples are the VersaLink cable that we offer as an optional bundle with the software, Tactrix OPenPort 2.0, and DrewTech Mongoose. Any J2534 certified to work with Ford (FMP) or Mazda (MMP) reprogramming tools will work. Be very careful when using cheap clones. We have not found one yet that is 100% J2534 compliant. It could leave you with a non-working ECU until you can recover with a proper cable.

    Cheers,

    Steve
