Has anyone had a word from ARP? My mind simply boggles at the fact this is even a possibility.

My ARP's had no chance to clear the balance shaft - had to cut 3mm off , tap the thread down further so it can get to the bottom of the block and use a thinner washer on the top so the balance shaft can clear the nut.

Weird. Might rethink whether or not i'll even bother with them in that case.

I was thinking of using 6/8 ARP's then 2 OEM's in that particular place. Will see how i go with this route first.

I would be a bit worried about getting same torque across all bolts using the 2 oems. I would feel better using one or the other

I know , thats why i'm gonna try this first then if it doesn't work, i'll look into alternative options.

Our engines don't lift heads like Subaru's do so I wouldn't be too concerned with them.

Our engines lift heads all the time with big power and constant abuse thats why i use L19's for head studs - but luckily the main studs hold the crank girdle on and the ARP's are plenty enough for that anyway - and i've never seen anyone loose a crank out the bottom thats for sure.

Ok well the new motor has arrived at the dealer. It's a 2013 Motor which has updated rocker covers and shit so should be a bit better than the old one.

Getting all the required gaskets together as we speak and once I get a set of pistons + clutch then we will be ready to rock and roll.
