Guys I was putting the correct mixture in 33% E although it does chew a lot of petrol not sure why. I guess thats how it is with e85.

@Lachlan, It's likely due to filling a total of 45L of e85 mix (he's putting in 15L e85+30L 98RON) and hence its not filling rite up to the brim of the tank. Plus e85 is a much more fun and right foot happy time, Not too surprised with the consumption.

It's still over 20L/100km... Which even with a heavy foot seems excessive...
I'd still like to see logs...

Not really... And this is where confusion arises...

"Standard" e10 is 91, which is the equivalent of dishwater...

But there is another company, united petroleum who makes p100 which is e10, and it's rated at 100ron

I run 50/50 98/e85. Don't believe there is much more power in it, but more for cylinder cooling. And with E85, who gives a hoot about fuel consumption. It's not for cruising long distance. It's a track tune. If you want economy, load a stage 2 95 tune. That got me 718kms.

    Premium 100
    e10 is 10% Ethanol
    United's P100 is 98RON + 10% Ethanol giving 100RON

I'm a firm believer that for a while 98RON was 95RON + 10% ethanol. As when filling some of our old cars up with fuel, on standard 91RON (pre e10 days) if you spilt fuel on the paint it was fine. Spill 98RON on the paint and it would melt the acrylic paint.
Ethanol is a major component of paint stripper.
After a few of the no brand fuel stations got in trouble for "watering down the fuel" ie. Adding cheap and tax free ethanol, the problem stopped.
Don't have that car now, so can't say if the problem is still current.

I know just that 95% of e10 you see advertised in Australia is 91 Ron

Don't understand why it's not used for making 98+ ron more often... But, there's a lot of scare tactics out there...

They have already pretty much gotten rid of regular 91 in favour of E10, so it's probably just a matter of time before 95 and 98 head this way too (particularly as old non-ethanol cars reduce in numbers).

Its all about money. Always is, 91 e10 is cheaper then 91, so companies like 7/11 can undercut BP and shell etc. 100RON from united is their most expensive fuel, however on most days here in Melbourne it is still a lot cheaper than BP98
