Ive never had issues with the vibration or anything and my car always drives like a dream ...the only issue I have had is my turbo seal going at 30,000k with no mods

    1. Dry Coolant Stain on water pump (not sure exactly what this means if there is some seal or something needs replacing or its leaked in the past)
    2. Front Diff is leaking Oil
    3. Front LH Drive Shaft seal is leaking oil
    4. Minor Wear on rear suspension bushes
    5. Rear Suspension noise over bumps not related to accelerating or decelerating (Mazda have replaced both rear shocks under warranty about a month ago to fix this problem, but its still there). the guy recommended I tell Mazda to take it to a specialist suspension place as he can see anything that would be causing the thump

Anyhow I have told mazda of the items on the list so lets see what happens at my service next week

I would never classify my 6 as a problem car, quite the opposite so the guy finding stuff surprised me

sounds like there are a few of us starting to coe to the end of our warranty on our 6's now.
Hope you get this fixed without any problems! By "Front Diff" do you mean transfer case? This has been a known problem on some MPS6's and CX7's mine still has a leak so it's gotta go back again (3rd time!)

Theres no problem with the clutch per say. I think the 2005 and maybe early 2006 models came out with a slightly different clutch to the later models which is very snatchy and takes some getting used to. To me I ddint find it very different to my Subaru clutch so it didnt bother me as much. You do get used to it and will stop stalling it, its not a problem Mazda just acknowledged this clutch wasnt the most user firiendsly and did a TSB for a replacment clutch in the earlier models if you go and complain about it
Taken my boring, bland, lame Subaru and my fat ass and driven off into the sunset with a smile on my face

Somewhere on the forum there is advice on adjusting the clutch pedal height and clearance adjustment. It worked so well on my 05 model I hesitated in getting the clutch replaced. As the dealer had ordered the new clutch anyway, I decided to to get the new clutch. In the end there wasn't a great differnce between the adjusted pedal height and the new clutch in operation.

Hiya. do u know what the TSB # is, coz mine is going in tomorrow for this.

    Cheers, Chris

  6. Default Rough Idle

Hi guys, I previously posted about my TSB clutch. Happy to report Mazda City (Melbourne) upgraded me with the new clutch, although they were a bit dodgy about refunding me the original $3k I spent on the clutch, but I've got it up my sleeve for future "problems" they might wish to cause for other things.

ANYWAY, now my baby is out of warranty and I recently took it to them for rough idling (almost wants to stall when idling but never actually does). The car still runs perfect, feels like all the power is still there, but I suspected it was caused by contaminated fuel as I noticed the problem after filling up at a BP. Mazda confirmed fuel was contaminated, cleaned fuel lines, drained tank and filled it up again, but the car still idles rough. Mazda has told me that this will go away after 3-4 tanks.

Does this sound right to anybody?! What's the point of cleaning fuel lines if the car is still going to run funny after 3-4 tanks? Could it be something else that they haven't picked up? Any ideas?

    Thanks!
    Jason

I had to have front and rear engine mounts replaced 2 1/2 years in (under warranty), but by that time it had totally screwed up my tires so I also had to get 4 new ones of those as well (I had to pay for those), rear window tint bubbled like all heck so also had to get that replaced, not a Mazda fault I know but still annoying...

I left the car in overnight so that they could be there when it was operated when cold and after a lap of the dealership the problem was acknowledged and they had the new mount in before lunchtime.

According to a friend who works at a dealership, collapsing of the RH hydraulic engine mount is a common problem.
got my 90k service done today at mazda and was told the RH engine mount has a crack in it can you buy an aftermarket one or do i need to go to the stealership ?

OEM job, unless you want to turn your car into a vibrator. If you're out of warranty expect to pay around $270. Installation is not difficult.

I have a late 2005 6MPS. The clutch was very touchy and a bugger to drive in traffic. It was replaced without question by the Mazda dealer down here, and is now considerably better.
