Thread: BK Exhaust

  1. Default BK Exhaust

looking to get a new full custom set up for the 3, took it to my exhaust specialist and he said to first find out whether changing anything will trip the ecu and cause me some check engine light problems etc. any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you go cat-less then yes to check engine light, can be ignored in ATR though. I hope you have upgraded your HPFP before running a full custom exhaust

Negative on the hpfp... is it a compulsory pre req before the exhaust upgrade?

Think of a HPFP as kind of like a condom for your engine...just better to be safe :P

Get the HPFP internals before exhaust or you will prob be building a whole new engine.

I would advise doing a lot more reading about modding these cars and options for exhaust etc. This will enable you to do it once and the right way

In general your first mods should be reading, HPFP and AP, and then power mods if your goal is to make the most power safely. If you just want to mess around and axle back and SRI will be safe to run without a tune or HPFP.

AP=accessport, it is a masterstroke of technology..quite cheap for what it does and what it allows you to do in ways of tuning and monitoring your ECU

Unfortunately we are not offering that particular combo price anymore. @friizky feel free to contact me and I'll see what we can muster.
