Thread: You probably already hate me

Default You probably already hate me

The title does probably hold true in a forum like this, long time lurker, first time poster. The reason you guys will hate me is because I'm one of the many boost-happy P Platers who is buying a MPS 6 due to the changes in the turbo bans and lowering the street value of your beloved cars. Now, I've got a car that I have looked up and am keen on buying, and was wondering what are some major things to check in a MPS 6 before buying. Any help is greatly appreciated

Mainly blown turbos (distinct smoke coming out of the exhaust)

Fortunately for myself I'm good friends with Rayd's brother, that's who I'll be taking mine to, from what I can see he's good at what he does.

@ jayfkN, At least you are driving a manual

More then could be said for most other P Platers.

UPDATE: Just bought a car, so I can safely say I'm that guy you're going to be angry with at the lights for putting his P-Plates on your beloved MPS's

15K for an MPS 6, great condition on the paint, bought from a guy who washed it every week, both the showing parts as well as the bottom, and drove it like a grandma :P

Don't forget, even though you can now drive some turbo cars, the rule remains you can't drive modified cars.
So keep any mods subtle and descreet

Yeah it is Benny's car. The look of sadness in his eyes was indescribable when I came to have a look at it. He's been really helpful and throwing in the AP (2) for no added cost.

Yeah I'm aware no mods can be done to it, and those are the photos Benny provided me when I first inquired, great shots.

Already some bonnet stripes (such mods, wow) and looking into getting the rims sprayed black.
Not sure what the rules are on any exhaust work, anyone know if that's legal or not?

Don't that the cars have to be stock?
So, i'd say yeah, it would count...

If you're looking for a bit extra power that not noticeable on visual inspection, i'd suggest a hpfp + e85 tune

For an easily reversible exhaust mod, look into a test/race pipe... I believe corksport make them...

Apparently cops have the power to put your car on a dyno and check it out.

Just flash a custom 'low power' map first lol. Gee officer, such a shame the car isn't hitting more than 10 psi......
