Thread: Front Drivers Side Ball Joint Repair Help

  1. Default Front Drivers Side Ball Joint Repair Help

    Hi Guys,

I've been getting quite a bit of noise when steering, from my 06' Mazda 6 MPS drivers side front wheel and when I had a look I saw one of the ball joints has completely gone.

Can you buy just the ball joint or do I need to source the control arm with the ball joint included.

Should I replace both ball joints at the same time?

Is this something I can fix at home without a speciality tools like a press?

If I take this to a mechanic to fix what is a reasonable cost? What would it be if I supplied the control arm?

Is this the right control arm Febi 23313 Mazda 6 2 3 MPS GG 05 08 SAL Track Control ARM FR LH RH Lower | eBay ?

    Cheers,
    Cliff

Cant help, but @edgeautosport might have a part / deal they could do. Actually I'm asking them to bundle stuff like this into a suspension package for us mps6 owners
