I've just picked up HTP's full 3" intake and it's a nice bit of kit...

You could just get their standard sized one with a 3" to 2.5" coupler.

Else a 3" will possibly require you move the ECU/ECU cover.
I'd almost suggest their full 3" system, and sell current parts, but depends how much effort you're willing to go to.

    Don't think you'll find a 3" silicone TIP to fit a 3" turbo inlet.
JBR did an EOI on MSF, but not enough interest.

EDIT: I forgot, I have a (used) metal stock turbo TIP that troy made sitting in a box if you're interested... Can send you some pictures.

only thing is that with 3" TIP's you might need to relocate the ECU

I'd assume so... But it's $260 which is insane for a TIP...

I have a 2.5" HTP tip I'm about to put up forsale after the weekend if your interested, would require a different silicone coupler from siliconedirect to suit as the one I have is 2-2.5" stock turbo

Sent from my HTC One X

He is in NSW where an air box is needed that won't fit a corksport modded/butchered box

I have both a cp-e cold air intake and a full Cobb intake with air box. Those parts plus a TIP to fit the new turbo are what I will be getting.

Both will serve you well. Just remember guys Reedy is not after 400hp! bit more will serve him well and 230-240kw atw with 17-20psi standard maf etc will be fine (unless i have what your after wrong)

Yeah, standard MAF should be fine...
Reedy is after quick response, not crazy power... Hence looking at a 2860 I'm genuinely interested to see how it goes if he does go that route...

    A 2867/S3 lose about 300rpm of spool, a 3071 about 400rpm the 2860 is about 100-150rpm

just realised, that APR k04 has a billet wheel, so it probably spools faster than ours do...
i'd say a gtx2860 is about the same as our cast k04's

Gtx2860, if once it's tuned doesn't spool within 100rpm like the ko4 get a mani. If staying within the ko4 area is critical just go the ko4, you're doing our head in! Lol can't have everything, gotta give somewhere.

I can and will have it all. Just you wait.

A second hand, low mileage K04 is definitely an option!

i just watched the video series on this, pretty incredible... not a bad torque curve too... bit like a stage 8 map for the MPS.

So yes Reedy, if you can get your hands on one you should install it.

Also consider a more efficient turbo spooling like a K04 is instant wheel spin since it wil make more torque at the same boost

Reedy my 2c is for the hpfp stick with Autotech it's the most tried and trusted path. Also you can't beat the ETS coolers.

Car smells kinda burney after I give it a bit of a thrash right now.... Is that normal for a smokey turbo? I've been taking it easy since this issue arose but have given it a couple of quick blasts and it smells!
