    Default Injectors 1000hp

Im in talks with a major company Bosch about making aftermarket drop in injectors for our MPS.

I have just sent off the part numbers and info on our injectors. I have suggested to up injector size from 1200-1400ccish. I had to rethink due to info forthcoming to 500+ hp

They seems confident they can help I will keep this thread updated

If they can help and have $$ for amount.. I will need people on board who would be interested @MPS2NV @2XS @Rayd @ledfootrob

Anyone that might be interested and i missed them plz tag

Not wanting to sound like a nay sayer, but... Good luck...
The highest flowing DI injectors I can find are around the 1600cc mark, and they require fuel pressure of 2200+ psi which our cars are just not capable of supporting...

Also, I think our injectors are closer to the 1200-1300cc range...

I'm happy to try injectors for the development of the final product, my request is an injector that can achieve 400bhp up to just under the flow/pressure limits of the hpfp.

    I'm in IF:
    1. The injectors are reasonably priced
    2. There is some sort of way to increase the HPFP pressure safely
    3. Extra fuel rail relive valve pressure can be overcome

Otherwise - i think i'll rather stick to port injected methanol or some other AUX fuelling system.

    Same!

I'm very interested to read this, though I think realistically it would be in our interests to aim for an injector that is *moderately* larger (rather than double) given:
    - the limits of our fuel pressure system
    - the need to retain drivability at part throttle (for the majority of owners).
In that regard, an injector 20 - 30 % larger would be more realistic.

It may also be helpful to know if this injector can be used on other platforms, if Bosch is to produce a new injector. The largest community modifying this platform is based in America (mazdaspeed).
Is it possible that the Focus ST / Golf GTi use the same injector fitment?

ARP have a DI injector simular to ours 13% larger than the oem for the FSI made by Bosch. The ARP hpfp supplies it with enough fuel, the CPE hpfp is same inside as the ARP.. So im thinking 15% mark rather than 50%+.. 15% more on our cars will see us reach 500hp so thats what im targeting now. If it works out well i would say the Guys in the US will take it to all new levels

    They're not...
And even if they did fit, we can't run the 2400-2800psi pressure their injectors require..

Is corksport in the development stage of injectors?

I see see it this way, the fuel system has room to move with injectors (cost aside) the injector would be no more specific than the hpfp itself or any other Mps related part, anyone taking a street approach should really be aiming for these kind of parts rather than aux items.

I think aiming a bit lower is smart, no point having injectors that support 1000hp as no one is going to have a 1000hp MPS (inset Alcam joke here?)

I'd at a guess say most big turbo builds end up between 400 and 500 hp so injectors to suit that is the go IMO

Troy could just send the injector directly to Bosch?

What I meant was why doesn't troy send the injector straight to Bosch and send your stuff to you as per normal

All good, just didn't want to have it fall off Bosch's radar
