Thread: mps 6 fuel cut ?

  1. #1

Default mps 6 fuel cut ?

yesterday going down a straight, down shift in to corner , flat foot it out, maybe in the apex of the corner the car seemed to lose power? it seemed like it just didnt want to go until the body/ chassis was back horizontal with the ground then continued to accelerate..

    if that makes sense...

    any clues?

The dash light should flash if it's TC coming on.

Could be the old "Boost-cut under load" issue.

Plenty of 6MPS threads on it. Something about coil springs for the ignition... or something else I ignore completely.

Had it on my 3MPS, was a failed/failing mechanical fuel pump booster. Unable to work under boost conditions, starved of fuel, engine enters limp mode until RPM drops enough to reset pump.

6 has yaw and swas I think, mine a the same, the light will flash if you have loss of traction but dsc will still be doing its stuff behind the scenes.

Fuel cut would be in boost transition in a straight line. Car always held good fuel pressure.

switch it off.... and I'm yet to see a 6mps do an AWD drift....

Does the 6MPS work the same as the 3MPS? Hold in the DSC button when turning the car on and it completely disengages the DSC?
3 MPS - Rolling on Pirelli PZero Neros, sitting on Bilstein B12's, stock internals... still makes me smile with the Zoom Zoom.

i turned it off yesterday , was a bit diff to drive and maybe 10 % more fun .. but hav to be more cautious ...
id rather turn the car on normally then press the off for DSC..so i dont forget to turn it back on next start up

but yea that cornering issue i started with is due to DSC being on.. did the same style corner this time and rear end slid.. a bit

yeap , i think what DR teeth is asking .. if you hold DSC while turning car on , does that make it auto off until you switch it back on manually?

When you turn the car on next time, the DSC and traction control is automatically back on. You don't need to turn it on manually
