Just wondering what people did for dust covers? Can you just use your stock ones? Mine didn't come with any.

Is that the B12 set by any chance??? If so, great on a Gen 1 for a good combo or lowering and slight increase in stiffness.
3 MPS - Rolling on Pirelli PZero Neros, sitting on Bilstein B12's, stock internals... still makes me smile with the Zoom Zoom.

    Hey,

They are b8 set for gen 2. Hopefully its a nice ride with the eibach springs and lowers it slightly!

Post up some pictures and your thoughts on the setup when you've installed it

Had them on for a month now. The ride is much better than stock. You do feel the bumps a bit more but its easily bearable. I would of liked it to be a tad lower but it still looks great. If it was lower, I would be feeling the bumps a lot more though!! 2 finger gap around all 4 on mine. Stiffer and just a better ride in general. I do have a whiteline rear sway bar which helps with the ride. Its hard to remember what stock felt like now!

Hi all, thanks for the info so far.

Has anyone out there used the Koni FSD / Eibach package?

FSDs are designed for stock height springs, not lowered. Koni yellows are usually used with lower springs

    Hi Lachlan,

My understanding is the FSD's can be used with standard or lowered suspension to -35mm. I'm interested to hear what anyone thinks of the FSD's with standard suspension too. I'm not 100% sure I want to lower the car yet.

    Hello Lachlan,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

After reading a good portion of the supplied reading I've got to say I've got some hard choices to make.

As much as I've enjoyed Koni's in the past I think a set of Bilstein might be in order but don't like the idea of lowering it. I'll go and see a specialist and see what they have to say / recommend too.

Hey @MPS00M eibach do offer a pretty mild drop and are still fine for daily driving. Paired with bilstein or koni yellow (billies would be my preference) you would be fine.

I run bilstein b8 on standard springs and can't fault it. I love the combo.

    Nope, definitely B8's.

B8 are a shortened version of the B6, made specifically for running with lowering springs. They might work, but from my understanding they aren't optimised for stock height (or stock spring rates), whereas the B6 are.

My research led me to believe that's a bit of myth. Pretty sure they identical.. The main concern was changing the rear bump stops. Or cutting the stock ones. I used fat cat ones.

Not according to bilstein (http://www.bilstein.de/en/products/search-service/faqs/), but id be curious to see something that suggests they are the same. Could all be an elaborate marketing ploy. Ha ha
Did you end up needing the bump stops with stock suspension, or just being cautious?

Lol TH told me otherwise.. Basically they said you can use either but the b8 are a better shock. And I've searched far and wide for what I read somewhere (think msf) that suggested there is only a difference once you lower past 30mm but cannot find.

The bumpstops I did because they are recommended if you using stock springs and mine were fooked. Something to do with the travel of the rears.. I get stoned too much to remember details lol..

I did shocks and the entire whiteline parts catalogue along with almost all the bushes replaced and it feels soooooooooooo much better when cornering.
Just ordered a quaife lsd as well!

It's slowly coming back to me.. The b8 have slightly shorter travel in the rears.. Pretty sure that's why I got recommended to get the fat cat ones.
