Oil in Stock Turbo

Hi guys,

Was installing a TIP/SRI.

Noticed that the turbo had a good layer of oil around the sides of the turbine.

I don't have a catch can, is this why?

No smoking so far.

Also the turbine doesn't feel like its spinning freely(slight resistance). Is this normal?

I'm more worried where the oil came/coming from...

Oil level seems to stay around max.

Was tempted to spray some carby cleaner on it to clean that shit out.....but didn't know if that woulda done any damage..... (yup, i'm a noob)
