Hi, guys
had a dyno while a ago, showing 140kw on stock, is that too low for a stock 2007 MS3? Is custom tunning able to giagnose what problems are?
thanks in advance

140kw ATW is not good , lowest I've seen is 150kw ATW,I had 153 KW ATW,
could be a thousand reasons why so low,I would get a compression test done to make sure engine is not gone.
Take MPS to Tunehouse to diagnose or a Mechanic that knows our cars, what state u in?
My GENII dyno'd 151kw when stock when only about 6 months old. So I wouldn't worry greatly. But custom tuning is a great place to start on looking for more horses, even on a mechanically stock car there is power to be had.
Ecutek is a popular system available from MRT and Tunehouse.
Or buy a COBB AP and contact Rich at Richtuning or Lex and Stratified Tuning, both e-tuners who do great proven work on our forum.

Could just be old age...
Could be a heart breaker dyno...
It's within 10% of the norm

What dyno was it , if its a Mainline roller they have been known to break many hearts, lol
Which gear did they do the run in?
I would accept that for a 07 model
Don't forget @rayd our local Cobb AP tuner

Now another stock MPS you can put on the same dyno to compare?
Otherwise there are a lot of variables that you need to consider.
Dyno could read low
Dyno operator could have done something wrong
What gear was the run in
Car could have been heat soaked
Age of car
It goes on and on.
What I would do if your conserned and can't find another MPS to compare with.
Give the car a service, new oil, new air filter and if they haven't been changed, spark plugs.
See if that feels any different
Then you could look at buying a Cobb Accessport (plenty of second hand ones popping up for sale at a good price now the new one is out)
With that you can do some "logs" ie. record all the paramators the ECU reads. With that, may of the switched on guys here can have a look and see if anything looks strange.
The accessport also gives you the ability to flash a new improved map to the ECU and allow further tuning if the mod bug bites
Might need a service.

Silly question... How long since filter was changed?
Seen cars pick up 10-15hp (cause 'murica) from a new filter

Step 1, boost leak check
Step 2, compression check,
If all in check I wouldnt worry, probably low reading dyno.
What dazza said is the best way.
it was third gear i think. cant remember
