What do you need to know? I know nothing mechanical keep in mind. I'll just show up and can hand you spanners and sockets. I'll probably point out many objects on the engine along the way with the comment "Whats that?" and then "Whats (what the part you just told me name) do?" haha

I can organise the parts easy enough. Hell I have ordered them so many times now I could almost do it in my sleep lol.

Would just need the model and year of each car (some are slightly different) and the mileage. High mileage increases the parts requirements of the job, as more needs to be replaced.

I've got some questions. When do you think this will be happening? What if we don't get 5 people? How much is this going cost my wallet?

Also, mines a 07 MPS3 140k, i want to change the oil pump chain as well.

I would predict April, maybe March when I know what's going on in that month clearly. If I can't get a week off and 5 jobs it will cost what ever whoever charges lol

I'm guessing if we don't get 5, then we're on our own.
I gotta do something soon, I'm not driving the car atm.

Just wanted to give props to Mitch who did my VVT / timing chain job last week. Mine was done more as a preventative, I only had the slightest rattle on some starts, but being a 2006 model with 105,000km I felt it worthwhile. It's quiet as now

Hi guys, I felt my timing chain and it was very loose but cant really hear the rattle on start-up. Its an 06 with 85,000km. Any recommendations where I can get it done in Melb?
