    Default Gen 2 sub amp location.

    As above does anyone know the location of this? Want to install a preamp and gotta find this for a start. Cheers

    I thought sub was in the tyre well n amp under passenger seat

    Cheers for that. I sorta had an idea but I dont want to dismantle the whole car looking for it. Now do I have to take the seat out or is it something that can be unbolted?

    I think you can get to the wiring without removing the seat, which would be all you would need.
    If you start ripping stuff out, you probably want a workshop manual first.

    If you have the Lux model with bose... Not sure you can remove the amp unit? I had to keep mine in otherwise there was an issue with my car (think it was the screen and aircon unit)... I just have mine connected so the car thinks it's unit it.. but all my speakers run via my other amp under the passengers seat....sub has it's own mono amp too.

    Ye don't disconnect the amp,shit stops working n you will be without Aircon n music

    He's just installing a preamp, so the amp isn't going anywhere I assume. Other option is maybe get access to the wires coming out of the head unit before the amp?
