OK so I picked up a 2008 CX7 Longblock on the cheap. The turbo is destroyed and has oil in all the places it shouldn't and there is more shaft play than you'll find in a gay brothel.
So I thought I would start this thread to show people what I find as I slowly pull it apart. I will post photo's of everything as it comes off the car and anything that shows major fail.
Day 1
Turbo Removal
Damn she is durty, Banjo oil feed was completely clogged.
Valve Cover Removed
Valve train looks in good condition, minimal timing chain slack. Checked piston height and got consistent measurements
Dirty valves are dirty, definently in need of a clean.
Spark plugs appear OEM, original maybe
