Thread: Headers heat sheild

  1. Default Headers heat sheild

Hi guys! So I took my car to service last week and they found a leak in the power steering tube. They ended up finding that the cause was the exhaust headers were heating up. The part was replaced by warranty, but they did recommend getting some heat shields installed. Anyone have any ideas would love some help?! Thanks guys!

Guessing you exhaust is not standard?

No it isn't, I've had custom extractors made and a hi-flow cat back installed

When I had my 323 I made a heat shield up for it, I used the manifold bolts with L brackets to hold it in place. Or you can wield brackets onto your manifold to hold the heat shield in place.

Or maybe I should use some heat wrap instead I've been looking online and that looks to suit this issue?

Tried using some heat wrap working well so far.. Will see how it goes
