Default Front Swaybar bushes dry out?

hi all, car got some noise when turning right, brought to MRT just now, and they said the front swaybar bushes to require re greasing. they have applied silicone spray today first but told me need to bring car back again to do the properly greasing due to run out of time today. cost me $120 today. and to regrease properly they are gonna charge me $350. Does this sound normal to everyone? The swaybar was purchased from MRT and they installed it for me last May. Also just had the car serviced at MRT last month :/ if it's not normal, I think for me it's time to move on to other shop, so tired of this car :'(

So, they charge you $120 for just spraying some silicone spray? $350? That's more expensive than the sway bar itself....? Next shop IMO

Surely that includes a full service as well....

Removing and re greasing a FSB in an MPS is somewhat complicated and takes a bit of time, but $350 is crazy!

Ok, do you have an aftermarket front sway bar?
    If no.
The factory sway bar bushes are known to wear out.
They cost no more than $40 from mazda
And on a hoist should take no longer than 1/2hr to replace if you know what your doing. 1hr if you don't (most of that time will be finding the right combination of socket universals and extensions)
They can be replaced without taking anything off the car.
Secondly, the factory ones were not, and do not need to be greased.
I tried greasing mine, worked for a day.

If you do have an aftermarket front swaybar, then yes, probably needs greasing.

That's criminal for them to charge that much!

They surely could have called you after the initial check at the service and advised you of an additional cost to grease the bushings whilst they had it up on the hoist.

I wouldn't be going back there again.

BULLLLLLLLLLLL SHIT MRT... The front bushes can be greased without taking the sway bar off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On a hoist take the bracket off and the bush will just come out without taking the sway bar off, as it has a cut in it just slides off the bar........... Prob 20min work.
