Hey Everyone,
Bought my Gen 1 second hand about a month ago, came with 235x40x18's on it, I can't u-turn any street accept my own which is epicly wide, evey other u-turn just equals 3 and 4 point turns even at lights and on Gympie Road...

I've got 19x8 (Up from the stock 18x7.5's) on my GenII.
The fronts have 245/35 and it definitely has affected my turning circle

Have you tried handbrake turns?
The turning radius on a Gen1 MPS is quite large even with the stock wheels/tyres. With your setup, it'll be even worse. I can't do a single-turn U-Turn on most streets on 225's, let alone anything wider...
Get good and fast at doing 3-point turns
Hand brake? Driver mod?
On my GENII I haven't noticed 235 tyres alter the turning capacity.

Gen 1 is worse than gen 2...
It's pretty bad
Uncles 5 series BMW turns better... Unless it's 4 lanes wide, gen 1 isn't doing it in 1 turn
I'm on 235/40/18s
I wouldn't expect such a small different in tyre size to affect the turning circle very much, if at all. MPS just has a shit turning circle to begin with.
I thought the 6 was worse than the 3. I have 225 with no issues, 235 might be slight scrub but not sure
I have a Gen1 3MPS. Have moved to 18x8 +50 rims with 235/40/18 tyres and have noticed no change to the turning circle, and I do u turns regularly.
With great power comes great fuel consumption...
