Thread: Mazda 3 Gen II Roof Racks

Default Mazda 3 Gen II Roof Racks

Item: Mazda 3 Gen II Roof Racks Genuine Mazda

    Location: Adelaide, SA
Item Condition: Used. Previous owner looks to have used them regularly, so there's what I would expect to be normal wear and tear.
Reason for selling: Not required part. They were in the boot of my car when I picked it up from the dealer.
Price and price conditions: $90 plus shipping.
Extra Info: They look to be missing one of the rubber gaskets for the feet. There 3 I have are pictured. I'm not sure if a new one can be purchased from the dealer. As seen in the photos they're still packed up how I received them. Keys are taped to the racks.
I also don't know if they fit other generations of car.

    Pictures:

Feel free to make an offer since they aren't a complete package. They're just taking up space.

    For those interested:
Unfortunately Mazda don't offer the rubber grommets as a spare part, but wouldn't imagine it would cost much to get Clark Rubber to replicate one of the others.

These racks retail at over $400 at Mazda, so for $90, its a steal.

Unfortunately the snowboard addons for the Mazda rack system cost over $300, otherwise I would be snapping this up myself.

Maybe Try Rola roof racks, as Mazda would have used a local supplier and just re badged it.

Thanks mate. If I do keep them, or pass them onto a friend I will just make a new pad out of a couple of bits of rubber. Or as @Yeldarb suggested try to get a similar system from a local supplier.

Hi, did you manage to find out postage costs?

Btw - does anyone know if you can use aftermarket add ons on the Mazda Racks? eg. Thule or Rola snowboard racks, boxes etc

For those that might be interested in shipping. It can't be done with Australia post, as the roof racks are too long (over their 100cm limit).

For a courier from Adelaide to Victoria it's about $35.
