    Personally I don't like the finish of plasti dip out of the can, it's rough and unappealing. It's better with a spray gun but for rims I'd prefer a more permanent solution, something you can scrub brake grime/dust off

    On the contrary, some plasti dip comes out quite clean and smooth. I'll take a few photos of my friend's DC5 R and upload them for reference.

    But it's like you said, personal preference, and a steady hand.

    Keen on pics, I've experienced plasti dipping from a can...wasn't a fan. Looked blotchy.

    Can you get some close up pics as well if you're taking? From a distance it always looks ok

    All this obsession with plastidip, it's fun, but temporary. If you're into detailing you're car, plastidip isn't for you.

    Anyway, looking forward to colour update from @missjody9
