Do you work Saturday/Sundays?! I'll be coming down next weekend! haha
what colours do you get? could be fun to play around with rim colours :P
I have Sundays off, colours are Black, White, Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Orange, grey and gloss coat.
Will be getting purple and green soon too :-)
I've got a "demo" black can to try tomorrow so will be spraying the front middle part where the badge is, the rear lip and badges...
That should be enough "testing" lol
Smells like squashed bull ants but very easy to use, very happy with the result!
Do you reckon that could be used on the bumper reflectors at front of car??
Yeah on anything! Badges on the back look good in it too from what i've seen.
This stuff isn't paint to those keen on the look. It's spray on rubber. So it won't be easy to clean, especially with the likes of a micro fibre cloth. I use a tyre shine to give it its deep black look after it dulls of a bit.
Biggest positive, 99% reversible.

Autobarn in Bundall have been selling it for a year or so only place I know that sell it off the shelf without ordering online
Prime Electronics Bowen Hills, Brisbane has the whole range. But i think this is a SA thread?

Mark. Want to put the gloss on it and see how it turns out?
I think I will be down to get some black for my wheels.
Can you explain 99% reversible? Can this stuff be removed after a few years? Does it require thinners for removal?
I might write a can of gloss off to see how it looks :-) I like the mat look on the grill though.
This product will come off easily if you want it to, it would only be hard to get of if you couldn't get to it easily like inside the Mazda logo on the grill.
Worst case it might take some wax and grease remover on a cotton bud.
Sounds good. Might buy some soon then.
i watched a youtube video of someone using the gloss can, took him about 5 coats of the stuff to get a decent gloss going... how many cans would it take to do a set of rims? i'd imagine at least 2 cans for the colour and maybe 3 more cans of the gloss if you want a high gloss...
To get decent coats and coverage you'll need at least 4 cans of colour for matte. But seein you want gloss I assume it holds just like matte so 2 coats of colour and 2-3 coats of gloss.
3-4 for colour I'm told, if it's anything like gloss paint you will get a faster gloss finish and use less with couple heavy coats.
I want to test and support the product by trying it on my wheels.
I want it to make a bit of a statement with out it looking terrible or way over the top.
My decision is what colour Plasti Dip should I go to suit my silver car.
Black or White wont make a Plasti Dip statement so they are out.
My choices are:
Red
Blue
Orange (as in pic below)
Green
Yellow
Pink
Pink but thats me! Definitely making statement. Autobarn didn't have any so went with Blaze blue.
