Thread: Turbo Oil Return Pipe

    Default Turbo Oil Return Pipe

Has anyone ever had to replace one?

Mine must be damaged (was bent to allow BNR turbo install ~3 months ago) and has got a hairline leak. It isn't even really a leak, it's just the smallest drop of oil seeping out from the top and bottom gasket. I think the bottom is only oily because of the buildup slowly accumulated over time from the top. As you can tell, I'm not too savvy but I've pinpointed it to the said part and have just replaced both gaskets - still the same though.

The part I'm referring to is similar to this one - http://i.ebayimg.com/t/TURBO-OIL-RETURN-PIPE-NEW-FOR-1-8T-AUDI-A4-A6-VW-PASSAT-PT-No-058145735E-/08/!CFg3nYgEWk~$(KGrHqEOKooE0fiLSu(lBNVWtolsCg~~_12.J PG

The problem is I simply cannot find a suitable Mazda replacement or a bettered aftermarket one that will fit the MPS. My mechanic has just gone on a two month holiday so linkage please and thanks in advance.

Go to an aftermarket turbo shop and get them to make up a new shielded flex line and unions to fit. Don't stuff around trying to mess with it yourself. Lose the oil and you lose your turbo, so make sure it is a good build and reliable fit.

3, will do. Hard to find a decent shop that isn't run by turkeys in Melbourne's south-east!

This sounds like a potential option?

    [Solved].

If anyone encounters a similar problem, buy some Threebond 1215 and apply to both ends of the pipe. I used the liquid gasket in combination with the traditional gasket but it has stopped the leak and smells.
