    Default Squeaky Coilovers

    Hey Guys,

Just needing some help on this problem I have with the coilovers.

So basically I bought a set of H&R Coils and had MPS garage install them for me, only had the car for about a day and I could hear squeaking at the rear, its most noticeable when the car is crawling and you can hear it.

I had MPS Garage had a look at it twice and tried to fix the problem but their still scratching their head as to why its still squeaking.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Im basically close to just taking them out and buying some lowered springs instead..

    Thanks guys!

Suggestion - believe us when we say don't go to mpsgarage.

But any suspension specialist, pedders etc should be able to sort you out.
Best of all, tunehouse. Seems to be nothing those guys can't do

Tunehouse borked my coilover installation to start with tbh, its the only thing they have stuffed up since I started going there. They sorted it out immediately when I mentioned something wasn't right tho. I think they rushed the install slightly in my case.

It will probably be a strut top bearing or swaybar bushing that's squeaking. Something is either too tight or too loose.

Aside from the don't go to MPSGarage advice, if theyre the ones that installed it then they really should be the ones to correct it. Unless you want to pay for someone who actually knows what they are doing, in that case, Heaseman Steering are the suspension kings.

Everyone seems to steer clear from them how come?
Yeah I've booked an appointment for Tunehouse for this Saturday so hopefully they get it fixed asap.

    Thanks for that!

    Looooong story.

If you have a spare few hours, search them here.
What you find is only part of it

People steer clear of them because they stuff things up and blame everyone but themselves. In speaking to them about the squeak did they ever mention that they might have installed them incorrectly, or were they busy telling you about how it wasn't their fault or problem and that it was probably a manufacturing defect or a problem with the design of the car/coilovers? They have a long and illustrious history of poor service, bad advice and no accountability. You are just a drop in the bucket compared to the shite that they have been responsible for over the years.

Well when I spoke to Adam from MPS he reckons it could be the strut top bearing and he did a quick fix on that but yeah it didn't really last long (a few hours after I got the car back)
Well I don't really want to pay for correcting one's mistake but in this case im desperate to get it fixed and work my way to other mods.

So should I go Heasmans or stick to Tunehouse for them to have a look?

I dont believe they mentioned anything about incorrect installations but neither were they playing the blaming game either. They just couldn't figure out why it's making the noise, They did reckon that its metal rubbing on the strut bearing or something.
Wow didn't think they'd have that bad of a reputation..

In another note - how good is tunehouse? I was thinking of changing my SRI to get a CAI and a TIP.
