Hey guys, I have recently been looking at the cobb website and saw that we have 1 or 2 places here that tune ap's and I was just curious if anyone has used any of this guys, more to the point who to avoid.
Any info would be great
Thanks

Its seems there are Cobb tuners for EVO and BMW'S, but no love for the Mazda platform that I've seen.

I did have a chat to the guys at BPS autos and the guy I spoke to seems to know his stuff so thinking about going and having a face to face chat. They are on the south side, has anyone used them before?
hey guys,
I spoke to Richard at all Star tuning in Capalaba. He says he'll tune it. But he doesnt have a 4wd Dyno, so he'll either disengage the rear diff or charge $250 an hour to rent a 4wd dyno and tune it.
Im still running a stage 2 Cobb map, its rich in lower RPMs but overall good performance.
Slix.

haha,
Thanks mate. not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing SarcasticOne
GT Auto garage recently just acquired the program to tune the AP i think... I can ask for them next week if you like.. They're brilliant, although i ended up going with RichTunes.
I'm going to check GTautos ok tomorrow Eddie so I can report back what I find.
Wow so far I'm impressed. Nice clean work shop, a few nice cars around the place and for roughly $650 looks like I'm getting my custom ap tune here
This 370z is on a run in tune and it is making 340kw out of the standard engine with has been stroked to a 4.1lt
Oh and I found this in the work shop as well
$650...fck...whats the total package? Do they support you down the track with new mods?

$650 for one custom map and if I remember correctly he said he would do another map for me when I have my race pipe in and then the total tune would be $850. And for future tuning $250-$450 depending on the amount of mods that need to be added to the tune.
Hmmm, dunno. Seems up there with CT if you take into account AP purchase.
... And, does he know the platform?
Will be very interesting... Looking forward to results.

Well from what I know he has tune a few 3s before but they were overseas. I asked about other cars he has done and he said this week coming he is doing 2 time attack cars in Sydney, a gtr r35 and another couple overseas as well. And they r all on the ap program so he seems to have the experience but whether or not that can transfer to my 3 is yet to be known. All I shall be changing from when I did the dyno the other week will be a hpfp as he strongly recommended it. So we shall know early April if he is any good can't wait
So this Cobb tuning on a dyno? Yeah?
And what is CT?

Well, the results will speak all.
Hopefully this guy will be on the money.
Will be nice to have a QLD Cobb Tuner.

Figure this being a QLD thread, I'm getting my car serviced on Thursday at www.brisbanetuning.com.au
While there, as I'm too gutless and time poor to do my 4th gear WOT log for my etune on main roads is there any harm doing it on a dyno?
Obviously I won't be in the car, ill have the AP setup ready to go for the mechanic.
Thoughts?
