Thread: Yay i joined the CEL club with a P0127

Default Yay i joined the CEL club with a P0127

Edit its P0172 is thrown by running too rich, the light came on the day after i had an Ecutek tune last Thursday, i am taking it back to TuneHouse tomorrow for Jim to hopefully fix it.
So may as well play who can pick the right answer that caused it here first. it does feel like it has lost some grunt, during transition from minus to plus boost during normal driving it feels very boggy.

Right after the Tune it felt like an animal and would wanna shread the front tyres in 2nd when planting it and would wanan rip the wheel out of your hands in 3rd with torque steer, now it doesn't have that oomph and sometimes when mashing it the initial shove comes in then around 4200rpm it really struggles and can feel minor surgers (it doesn't do that every time.)
Using an ultragauge to monitor with my eyeballs, fuel pressure is over 1700psi at WOT (upgraded pump), boost levels hold fine.

Things i have done to try and resolve it.
Reset battery, drove like a fairy for 100ks no light, plant it a few times it comes back.
Cleaned MAF sensor, car is only 9000kms old it was already spotless but gave it a spray, hence 2nd ECU reset.
Checked all intake hose clamps etc quadriple times. Unless there is a mystery hose somewhere i haven't discovered
The air straightner in the SRI is still intact, the SRI/TIP was on there over 2000kms before the tune with no problems.
It has standard dump pipe 2nd cat was removed 8000ks ago with no problems.

I'm hoping it's just something in the tune itself that needs an adjustment
i want my freight train back.

Need to see datalog and will be able to tell.

But my guess is boost leak causing ultra rich condition

Boost seems to be holding fine around 18psi until tapering off.

P0127 is a problem with the intake air temperature sensor according to my code list.

You would need to look at the air/fuel ratio if its running too rich, strange it was just fine after the tune then too rich all of a sudden maybe something in the tune is off

P0172 Fuel trim system too rich ON 2 Fuel

    As above, check for leaks

Checked for leaks on every bit of connection 4 times over, as first post says boost pressure etc is fine.

Ye and I bet you used your hands and fingers didn't you....

Search up on how to build a proper boost leak tester, use it fix up the microleaks you find then come back and tell us how your car now has no leaks
