Hey Guys,
just hit 100k on the MPS6 and mechanic has suggested changing the fuel filter.
I've read a few posts saying you don't need to change it??
Its about $170 for a new one at Mazda.
Has anyone changed theirs before and should I?

The fuel filter on the MPS is located in the tank and is scheduled for replacement at 150,000km from memory. My local Mazda dealer quoted about $600 for replacement as apparently the design means that the whole pump should be replaced. I believe the pump made up about 50-60% of the cost.
I didn't do it and so far have had no problems (174,000km).
Dont use poor quality fuel and it shouldnt need replacement
98 all the way. Thanks
i am pretty sure you can get one at Bursons - Mazda pricing is just ridiculous for Genuine Parts - Bursons have them for $70 bucks.
cheers
Whereabouts is the fuel filter located on my 3 MPS Gen 1?
