Default Let the VT tuning begin!

Its been a long time coming but Im now confident enough to say that Im finally at the stage of tuning!
Im armed with my Versa Tune software and even managed to connect with my car and install Versa Tune without a hitch! So far the ECU is flashed to accommidate the CP-e 3.25 MAF housing (MAF cal from VT forum) and the MAF calibration work sheets are ready to go!
I also have to change the MAP sensor calibration due to running a 3bar sensor (MAP cal also from VT forum) which I hope @Steve VersaTune will clear up a few questions and what the basic or correct procedure is and how its displayed in the dash board feature.

Hope this will help others and myself when beginning to build a base tune and progress step by step through to a full tune as well as understand the features using Versa Tune

So, after reading the user manual it does say that the MAP sensor at KOEO should read absolute in the dash board! thats part of my own thread answered
In the VT forum there is still no explaination of why people have the settings they do or the procedure for MAP cal.
Other forums refer to the Cobb AP and how to scale the MAP to 0 at KOEO. Would rather know the correct way to scale MAP using VT rather then assume the procedure is the same...

Which 3 BAR MAP do you have? I can give you the values to use if you give me the Bosch part number. They may even be posted on the VT user forum.

I did copy your values from the forum, is this a set and forget or is there a tweaking method that should be followed?

Assuming you've got the correct values for your sensor, it's set and forget. A quick check is to see that a log of the barometer and the MAP are very close at KOEO. They won't necessarily match exactly.

I used your suggested values for the 845 Bosch 3bar MAP.

I can't remember but basically the car is at a starting point, I have a rough maf cal to allow car to run with cp-e housing, Steve from vt's suggested map cal for 3bar sensor, zero out the wgdc, I can't remember what tune from the library I started with lol but all my maf cal work sheets are printed and ready. The fuel trims have been building for 3 tanks of fuel so far but I'm going to change my pcv system which will have some effect on the maf cal so a reset will be needed, did a third gear pull just to do health check and see what's going on.
All the basics at this stage, once I have pulled my finger out with maf I will learn the next step! Software is ezy to get around but teaching an old dog new tricks is the hard part
