Thread: Ah the joys of fatherhood ...interior cleaning tips

  1. Default Ah the joys of fatherhood ...interior cleaning tips

Well it's always inevitable father of two kids and the occasional spill, this time it's milo yay on the back seat yay. I tried to clean it using damp microfibre and autoglym interior shampoo but can still see the outline. I have 08 3mps black seats with piano trim looks great but not shows every damn blemish.

Was thinking about hiring the machine from woollies to do the seats and carpet, but what shampoo should you use with it? they offer a product there when you hire it but just afraid it might be too abrasive on the trim? Any help would be great I'm in the country so going down the local detailer is not an option

try a small portable steam cleaner that should fix it.
Then maybe some fabric protection for the future spills.

All my stains on seats just sponge off with fabric protection no stains and i use steam cleaning also marks just disappear.

I have used the steam cleaner from Safeway (it's red, called Rug Doctor) and the cleaning solutions they recommend on 4 cars now including my 08 Mps with the same interior as yours.

It worked awesome. I actually just did my skyline on the weekend. Cost was $50 for 24 hours including the shampoo and anti foam (which you don't need as I left it out accidentally).

You can literally see the dirt and stains coming out of the seats and up the hose. This is a pic of the water afterwards - and this was a very clean car to start with!
