Default Rough Idle - CAI + TIP

    Hey guys,

I installed an AEM CAI on dragana about 1-2 weeks ago.

    Gen 1, Mazda 3 mps

I noticed a very rough idle on morning start up.

Example, would go from 2k down to like 700 in about 10secs and it sounds like she wants to stall, I give her a rev and she's back to normal

I also have a TIP and 3rd resonator delete.

    Thanks in advanced

First instinct would be to check all your clamps and joins after the MAF, leak could cause that.

    Thanks for your reply.

So you mean, after the MAF as in, moving towards the filter near the passenger wheel, not towards the inlet pipe, correct?

Other way, towards the turbo. Any leaks after the MAF means that there's air getting in that isn't being measured, which throws fuelling out of whack.

    Ok, awesome.

I'll double check and hopefully it's that.

    Cheers

I re-tightened everything from MAF sensor to Turbo and it seems good so far.

    Thanks for the help

    Enjoy the new year!

The problem persisted so I cleaned the MAF sensor and she's good.
