    Default 3 MPS Seat Replacement

Hey, New to this, was reffered by premHK

    I have a 2006 3 MPS
Wanting to replace the seats with 2008 3 MPS Sport seats.
Anyone know if there would be any issues with airbag compatibility?

    Cheers

Shouldnt be? If you're game, maybe change out the airbags and modules

Yeah, I was having a look at the manual, it's an option, just don't want to get a broken face.... The actual seat replacement looks easy-ish

or you can just change the covers if you're worried. would take more effort, but peace of mind

I recently replaced my 07 MPS leather seats with the 08 spec (I wanted the black seats)
It was very simple, the plugs for the airbag sensors under the seat were the same just unplug and then plug in from new seats...

it would be logical that would be the case and particularly if no airbag warning lights come on. however being such a critical safety component I would recommend proceeding with caution.

The seats are not cheap and easy to come by but..
I hunted high and low to find a good set for a good price..

Also they look odd if you don't change the rest of the interior over to the black, so the door cards the Piano black trims on the dash for the stereo and air con and also the steering wheel controls..
The silver and the black look a little mis-matched

Finished installing the new seats last week, they look awesome! Had no issues with airbags, no error lights!
